Biographical Information

Dr Joanne Bennett completed her PhD at Macquarie University in 2017. The focus of her PhD was on dementia and driving, with an aim to develop an in-office test to determine fitness to drive for individuals with alzheimer's disease. Her research focus is on cognitive function and driving psychology, as well as the psychological impacts of autonomous cars. She joined ACU as a sessional staff member in 2016 and as a permanent lecturer in 2019. She lectures in undergraduate psychology courses specialising in research design and statistics. She currently supervises honours and masters research projects.
